We designed and built a WordPress Website for Veterinary Surgeons, Ossicle
Ossicle, already an existing client, asked us to redesign and redevelop their veterinary surgeons website to make it responsive (optimised to view nicely across all devices). The new website benefits from a complete code restructure, user friendly navigation and a throughly modern design.
We started the process by agreeing on which pages needed to go on the new site and from that starting point moved on to creating some page wireframes to test a few different layouts and see which worked best.
Wireframes for the new Ossicle website design
The home page features a full width slider with easy visual navigation boxes just below that link to what the company considers its two main USPs. The homepage also features a Facebook feed which Ossicle drip feed with information. Obviously this means the content of the feed is alway changing. They are only minor changes but it helps keep the homepage fresh and ‘new’ as return visitors will be able to see they are committed to keeping their audience informed of their latest news and procedures.
Another new feature on the homepage is a newsletter sign-up form consisting of a single form field. It’s quick and easy for users to sign up to newsletters and offers. Below the form starts the footer, which includes a secondary navigation and some location based SEO that is communicated with a friendly tone of voice. Links to their social media accounts are also present.

The redesign also prompted a change in colour palette. Previously the sites colour palette used a combination of black and a battleship blue/grey. The new Veterinary Surgeons Website now makes use of white being the main body colour whilst retaining the original colour palette in the header and footer areas. As a result the content throughout the website is now easier to read as well as making the whole website cleaner and sharper.
