Make Fonts look better in Windows XP

The Windows XP operating system often doesn’t have anti-aliasing turned
on by default which means font display quality is not as good as it could be.
However Microsoft has added the capability for font anti-aliasing (font smoothing)
in Windows XP Service Pack 3.

This is very easy to do. Just open up regedit (Start->run -> regedit)

From here navigate along the following path [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlTerminal ServerWinStations] and then make the following change:

Right click and Create a New DWORD Key: AllowFontAntiAlias

Give it the Value: 00000001

Now simply restart terminal services (or alternatively the entire pc) for it to take effect.
*PLEASE NOTE this rule is not supported by any version of Internet Explorer so even though your fonts might look cool on Windows XP when properly anti-aliased, you will need to use an alternative web browser such as Firefox or Google Chrome to see the results when browsing the web.
